Exhibition runs from from May 5th to May 27th
Melvyn Biddulph graduated from St Martin’s School of Art in 1971.
He studied alongside contemporaries who went on to enjoy international success. Melvyn exhibited briefly after leaving St Martin’s. He then moved into a career in commercial textile design (print & weave), working for major companies in the UK, Europe and South Africa.
In the 45 years since last exhibiting, Melvyn has continued to produce his own artwork. This previously unseen collection is fresh, diverse and inspiring, covering a wide range of disciplines.
Some pieces are whimsical and funny, others considered and thoughtful, and some are intensely personal.
This newly shown collection has never been subject to critical interpretation. Some works have a clear narrative while others may seem more challenging or ambiguous. They all invite a response. In exploring this exhibition viewers will be free to form their own ideas and opinions about what they see.
